Questions
How does DinePlenty work?
Book an Early or Late Table at a great restaurant for a small booking fee and get 50% off your food. Early Tables are a meal's opening seating (for dinner, usually 4:30 to 6:00pm) and Late Tables are its final seating (usually 8:30 to 9:30pm). Some restaurants offer them at breakfast and lunch too. You pay the booking fee to us when you book, then pay your bill at the restaurant as usual, with half taken off the food.
How much is the booking fee?
It depends on the size of your party: $8 for one, $10 for two to four, and $12 for five or six. You'll always see the exact amount on the Book button before you pay. The booking fee is separate from your bill and isn't deducted from it.
Can my first booking cost less?
Yes. If you join through a friend's referral link, an ambassador's code or a city launch code, your first booking is $5 whatever the party size. During a city's first 30 days, every booking there is $5 for everyone. Offers never stack, so you always get the single lowest fee.
What exactly is half off?
50% off your food, at every restaurant, with no minimum spend. Drinks are always full price. A restaurant may leave a few specific dishes out of the offer, and you'll see every one of them before you pay.
How should I tip?
Please tip on the full, pre-discount amount. Your server is working the same table and carrying the same plates, so tip as if the food were full price.
What if I'm running late?
Please arrive within 15 minutes of your booking time. If you're more than 15 minutes late, the offer is void and the restaurant may mark the booking as a no-show.
When do tables become available?
Tables release at 12:00 noon, local time in the restaurant's city, 14 days before the date. Until then they show as "Releases at noon". Gold members see them 24 hours early and Platinum members 48 hours early.
How many bookings can I make?
One booking per day, so the table goes to someone who will use it. You also can't book the same restaurant twice in a row; dine somewhere else in between and you're free to go back.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. Cancel 12 hours or more before your table and your booking fee comes back as DinePlenty credit. Cancel within 12 hours and the fee isn't refunded. You can cancel from your account until bookings close for your table (at least 30 minutes before).
How do credits work?
Credits go toward future booking fees and are applied automatically when you book. Each credit expires 90 days after it's issued, and we'll remind you a week before. Credits never pay out as cash.
Will I need to show ID?
Licensed restaurants may ask for ID. If you can't show it when asked, the 50% offer doesn't apply.
Can I get my order to go?
Every DinePlenty offer is for dining in only. The table is the whole point: come in, sit down and stay a while.
How do reviews work?
Once your dinner has happened you can leave one review per booking. Make it public and it's published straight away and counts toward the restaurant's rating, or make it private and only the restaurant sees it. Restaurants can reply to either, and we'll ask whether the restaurant honored the offer as described.
How do referrals work?
Give $5, get $5. Share your link and your friend's first booking is $5. Once they've completed that first dinner, $5 in credit lands in your account.
